Vilnius business climate is the best in Central and Eastern Europe
According to the International Center for Business Research Emerging Europe, the business climate in Vilnius is considered to be the best in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Vilnius is also included in the top ten brands among the best places for the quality of life and institutional business support.
For the first time in a survey on business friendliness there were estimated 75 cities from Central and Eastern Europe, with population over 200,000 people. Cities were rated by 25 experts and foreign direct investment consultants in accordance with various business criteria.
Vilnius has established itself in the first place in assessing the urban business climate, bypassing the capital of Hungary – Budapest, Ljubljana – the capital of Slovenia, Lodz and Lublin in Poland. “A good city – it is a city where its inhabitants find it easy to live, and it is easy to create enterprises for those who invest in this city. The results of this survey and the achievement of Vilnius is a huge assessment of all enterprises that work daily, and, most importantly, strive to Invest in Vilnius, ”says Remigijus Šimašius, the mayor of Vilnius.
As for the best brands in the city, Vilnius took the third place, after only Warsaw and Krakow and bypassing cities such as Prague, Budapest or Gdansk. The capital of Lithuania ranked the fourth in the category of quality of life and in this respect Vilnius overtook Tallinn and Warsaw.
Vilnius is also mentioned in the top ten for institutional support of business, where the city ranked sixth.
