The Kaunas branch of the Migration Department moved in new facilities
Today marks a significant milestone with the inauguration of the newly opened premises of the Migration Department’s Kaunas branch, situated at A. Juozapavičiaus Ave. 57. This development signals a notable advancement in delivering migration services and enhancing customer satisfaction. Although officially unveiled today, the branch commenced serving its initial clients several days prior.
Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė emphasizes, “The optimization of migration services and more effective customer service is one of the most important tasks facing the Migration Department. Since the restructuring of migration services in 2019, this institution has evolved into a modern state institution that successfully adapts to evolving customer needs. I hope that modern solutions will meet the expectations of both clients and the department’s employees.”
Initial interactions with clients have already demonstrated the efficacy of decisions made to enhance customer service and improve working conditions for employees. Strategically located in the beloved and historically rich Old Šančiai district of Kaunas, the branch offers convenient accessibility via public and private transportation.
Migration Department Director Evelina Gudzinskaitė highlights, “The new premises of the branch stand out for their convenient space for both customers and employees. When designing them, we took into account the needs of customers and the expectations of employees. We are particularly pleased that from now on, all migration services will be provided in one location, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the branch’s work and help avoid misunderstandings regarding different service addresses.”
Previously dispersed across various addresses in the city, the Kaunas branch now operates from a unified location, streamlining operations and mitigating logistical challenges. With an average daily service count of 500 Lithuanian citizens and 100 foreigners, the consolidation of services at one site enhances efficiency and minimizes disruptions.

Moreover, the customer service area boasts ample seating, a dedicated play zone for young visitors, and informational screens for disseminating relevant messages.
