11 persons took the oath for the Republic of Lithuania
March 4th of the current year witnessed a significant event at the Ministry of the Interior’s White Hall – the Citizenship Oath Ceremony of the Republic of Lithuania. On this auspicious occasion, 11 individuals were granted the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania by the decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania.
During the ceremony, each new citizen pledged allegiance to the Republic of Lithuania and vowed to respect its official language, culture, and traditions. They also committed themselves to strengthening the foundations of Lithuanian democracy and the rule of law. Among these 11 individuals were 2 stateless persons and 9 individuals who renounced the citizenship of another country (1 from Moldova, 1 from Uzbekistan, 3 from Russia, and 4 from Belarus).
The citizenship oath was administered by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Arnoldas Abramavičius, who warmly congratulated the new citizens on their acquisition of Lithuanian citizenship and welcomed them as members of Lithuanian society. He wished them success on their chosen path and encouraged them to actively engage in the activities of the Lithuanian community. This day marked not only a significant milestone in the lives of these 11 individuals but also a meaningful step in the civic and political arena of Lithuania.
